go to deviantart.com and type in "grunge brushes" in the search place.
for the bar, i used the Rectangular Marquee tool and made a selection. i then made a new layer, filled the selection in with black, lowered the Opacity of the layer to about 75%.
for the faded part to the left of the bar, i used the eraser tool and i used the same grunge brush to erase some of the bar.
