Hello! My name is AoR Sole and I'm from a multi-gaming clan called Army of the Republic, AoR for short. Although I've never officially met anyone from your clan here, I have seen and heard a lot about you guys via The Junkies and I believe we played against one of your teams during The Junkies 4v4 H2 tournament that ended some weeks back.
I'm always on the look out for mature and organized clans to establish relationship with and hopefully set up some friendly scrim's in the near future. Now that H3 has been released I thought I would see if we could set something up? I'm not in any rush as everyone in my clan is getting to know the game and busy campaigning.

We would be happy to. I am sure we here at TDC are in pretty much the same situation, the game is just coming out we are all going to be getting the feel for it for the next couple of weeks.
So lets keep in touch and when the time comes (I am thinking at least a week or two), we can set up a formal scrimmage, with each clan picking some game types and maps. In the mean time, lets get on each other friends list so we can j up. My gamertag is zangief99. Any other TDC members who want to be of help with this scrimmage, list your gamertag so Sole can get on your list.

Sounds good to me. My current GT is SoleOne but I'm changing it to AoR Sole later today. I'll stay in touch with you all here and hope to get some games in between on live!

Why don't we get this show on the road? We've been playing Halo 3 for a week now and have a feel for what we like and don't like. Might I suggest a format similar to scrims with the Junkies, best of 5 with both teams picking game types. You guys can pick 3, we'll chose 2. How is sometime next week for everyone? Perhaps wednesday the 10th?

For me personally, Wednesday the 5th is not a good day but I'm sure we can get some guys together on that date. We going to do 6v6 or would you prefer smaller teams? My preference is 6v6 but I'm flexible. I'll make a post in our forums and see what response I get back for that date. I'll also get the gametypes that we'll do as well.

Wednesday is working out for us either. So throw out a date that works for you and we'll see if that works.
6v6 is fine, as long as we can get 6 people online. We'll try but I think we should be prepared for some 5v5 or even 4v4.
Lets do this: get a date and time agreed upon first. That will dictate how many people can make it. Then we can chose game types. Choose 3 6v6 game types, and have 5v5/4v4 backups (obviously some game types work for 6v6 but not for 4v4). We will do the same.

Yeah I'm flexible with team size. We can plan that part out once we have a solid idea of how many people are committed to playing. So lets shoot for Monday, October 15th at 8 pm Central? I'm pretty sure that will work for the majority of AoR guys, let me know what you think.
On a side note, I'm not going to be on tonight but I'll be getting on live on Thursday around 4:30 pm Alaska if you want to play a few games. I know we talked previously about connecting before the actual match so I thought I'd try to set a time. For me if I don't actually plan to do something I'll never do it and I'd like to roll some H3 with you guys before our scrim.

Ok then, its a date, lets shoot for Monday October 15th at 8pm central (6pm pacific, 7pm mountain, 9pm eastern). Team sizes to be 6v6 if possible, but 5v5 or 4v4 if needed.
Why don't we both post our choices for games here by Monday the 8th, that way we both have time to prepare. You guys chose 3, we will chose 2.

Awesome! I've already proposed 3 gametypes to our team and I'm waiting on their response. I'll get back to you with that no later than the 8th. We've got our clan practice tonight so if you want to play a few games with us you are more than welcome. Just send me a msg.

I also had informed the guys over at secondfoundation.net about the scrimmage. I don't know if you have heard of them but they do a weekly pod cast called "The Riot" and they announce events and things that are going on in the Halo community.
