wrap it in a towel?
just search youtube and everyone will claim they can fix it. But the reality is that the 3 red lights doesn't always indicate the same problem, it just means there is a hardware failure.

I know. But if Keven has his own way to fix it, he better tell me, because I don't want to ship it in.

until Keven gives his "method" then this will just be considered a joke thread until he proves it. I honestly don't believe Keven has the technical know how to do it without opening the box up. Though, according to my understanding, the towel method is a viable one.
My friend was describing the process of "fixing" the red lights. It involved opening a box and using a heat gun to reheat all of the soldering points. I dunno what else beyond that, but maybe the towels can accomplish that?

yea..you take 4 towels...wrap it up...and leave it on for 20 min...let it cool and then turn it on.....
it worked the first time for my dads 360
and its still working without any glitches or anything

Until the solder gets too hot again and melts away. Just send it in. The boxes are under a 3 year warranty for that problem. Take advantage of getting it fixed right.

but you gottan think about it....6-8 weeks to get your box back After you wait 2 weeks for them to send you a box....Halo3 will be out before my dad gets his box back...but yea
it was only a temp fix, if it happend once then it will happen again,.....
my dad got the box yesterday and hes just going to wait until it stops working before he sends it in
