all I know is that i've seen bands marching in the macy's day parade while its raining.. sure its a once in a lifetime oppurtunity.. but its raining....
rain = the suck.

I would have to agree with that. I hated marching in the rain. Not to mention in the rain in the winter. That means major sucky time. In the end though band was an experience I would never give back.

I'd never give back my years of drug abuse but it doesnt neccesarly mean its a good thing though  just kidding though... well all the more power to you then i suppose. |

sometimse marching in the rain is fun..2 years ago marching in the rain with ur snare drum is fun because sometimes if there is just the right amount of water on the drum it makes sweet noises..or sometimes if u crash your cymbals together the right way...if pushes all the rain away from them for a few moments nad it looks saawwweettt

actualy...my favorite times while playing in the stands are when its raining...yea at first its like shit its raining...but once your wet its all fun...
now marching in a muddy field sucks ass...
I'm quiting because my band teacher is no fun. and also because i have a job now and i would rather spend my time making money then standing in the sun doing the same drill over and over....(remember, its always hot here so when your wearing 4 layers of marching band uniforms it sucks....
yes i do play trombone(1st chair) and its worth quiting my 8 years of playing....
i might join wrestling next year though....

i dunno how you can say that... cause when it was raining and I was doing football, i couldnt freakin stand it. especially when it was just barely freezing out....freaking icicles forming from my grill.

well i gues it depends on the temperature...when ur playing football all your really wearing is spandex pants a jersy and armor...(ive never played so i dont really know)
in band ur waring a tshirt...bibberpants...a heavy fucked up shirt thing...plus i carry a drum..so i stay pretty warm
and i remember when finals were in florida 3 years ago...it was still freaking hot when it was raining
