I just read the notice in my e-mail that XBL renewed my subscription. I guess I have to fix my xbox now. Don't want my mom to waste 50 bucks!

Well, I gave a run-through before and you did all you could for me Rick, and I appreciate it.
Basically there's something wrong with the Disc drive. Something got knocked loose, and I need to take it apart and hopefully it's just something as easy as putting something back on a track or something. doubt it though.
There's a really small, delicate "clink" sound when I open the drawer. It doesn't read discs.

Just buy a relacement drive then. They're only about 40 online. that's what I did when ours wasn't reading disks that well. It works like a new box now. rather than try to fix it just replace it. You'll be happier in the long run

Alright. But I still have to open it and crap right? I hope I don't electrocute myself. I also hope I'd know how to put the new one in right.

It goes in the same way you took out the old one. It's pretty cut and dry. i think I posted a link on how to disassemble your xbox in the help boards. I'll look. =edit= Here's a link to your origional post when you broke it. Caesar's an idiot....j/k
