As far as I know, guests were allowed to post in the recruiting section only.

No..it did change. All new people to the forums have to register and log-in. Their registration has to be approved by Jeremy before they can log-in. This has cut down on a lot of spaming already. To answer Stendas question, Jeremy said that it'll show a guest when they are trying to register or access the forums. Once they either log-in or leave the site it'll take 10-15 minutes for the server to update and not show a guest on the forums.
