If you've heard of "Ryan vs. Dorkman" then good, if you haven't you've been living in a hole most of your life.

Ryan Wieber (the creator/FX artist) has a nice website with some wonderful tutorials on the art of lightsaber rotoscoping.

Just a small disclaimer, it's a tedius and time consuming process, I've done it. You need Adobe After Effects to do it well, and even Adobe Premier to tie everything together.

So here's your second favorite Admin, Rick, with his purple / pink light saber Enjoy. This 10 Second clip took me about 45 minutes to do.

It's 2000 frames and I have to do it twice because some genius decided to use a double light saber.
