IE will not load and i dont know what to do.. firefox works but i cannot get even my home page to load in IE any ideas?

does anything come up? error, page not found. Or does it just keep trying to load?
IE is more suseptable to attacks, have you been running your anti spyware/adware/virus programs (you should be running those every so often)?

Is your homepage set to what you want it to be? I am just trying to see about a browser hijack.
Also make sure you have downloaded the latest updates. If none of that works, maybe a repair or reinstall of IE from the windows disc is in order.
Rick might have some more sugguestions.

yeah the homepage is what i had it at.. if no one else has any suggestions then i think if i work at it for a little bit longer i will figure it out

That's about it for suggestions. I would try a reinstall of IE. You can remove it in the add/remove programs. Try downloading IE7 beta to see if that fixes the issue. If not you can still get IE6.

You have to go to the add/remove programs, then add/remove windows components.

Can you go to other websites while the page is just loading? Also you might want to set the homepage to another location. Try google it loads fast.
